About Digital Legal Delivery team

HSF Kramer’s leading global Digital Legal Delivery business harnesses the firm's innovative legal and client technology expertise around the world to offer cost-efficient legal products and technology services for clients. The Digital team works seamlessly around the globe from offices in Belfast, London, Shanghai, Johannesburg, New York, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane to offer clients fully integrated 24/7 service.

The Digital China team was established in July 2016 (previously known as ALT China), which is the first alternative legal service hub that HSF Kramer launched in Asia. The team provides a wide range of services including document review for cross-border disputes matters, regulatory claims assessment, prospectus verification for overseas listing, commercial contracts review, due diligence for M&A, legal translation, eDiscovery and client technology services.

The role

Legal Analyst Respond is a flexible and short-term model in our Digital Legal Delivery practice group and will work closely with lawyers and senior members in the Digital China team. Respond team member with exceptional performance will have the opportunity to become Legal Analyst in the Digital team upon completion of the contract.

The team will gain exposure to a full range of national and international clients, sectors and industries, and will work with some of the very best legal minds around the world as partnering with our practice teams to deliver cutting-edge services to our clients.

Primary responsibilities

The Legal Analyst Respond role will focus on Capital Market and Disputes practice depending on the business needs:

  • Capital Market
  • Due diligence and verification of prospectus for HK IPOs
  • Travel on business trip is required from time to time
  • Assisting with drafting legal documents for overseas bond issuance and other capital market matters

  • Disputes
  • Conducting document review for cross-border disputes and investigatory matters
  • Conducting factual investigation to support long-run disputes matters
  • Assisting with claim assessment and other regulatory/compliance matters

  • Support other Digital practice, including:
  • Translation of legal and commercial documents
  • Conducting due diligence for M&A projects
  • Conducting review of routine commercial contracts
  • Assisting with the documentation and procedural formalities for the establishment and change of registration of foreign‐invested enterprises

Qualifications

  • LLB or LLM graduate with less than one year work experience
  • Passed the PRC national judicial examination)
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated, shows enthusiasm and commitment to delivering excellent client service for all tasks undertaken 
  • Ability to review, analyse and organise technical legal information and data, making effective use of supporting technology to deliver high quality work
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner
