As our Cyber Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of Enterprise Technology & Innovation’s (ETI) Cyber Assurance program. This program includes management of the following activities: System and Data Classification, Data Protection Risk Management, Compliance, Security Assessment (includes Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments), Electronic Discovery, and supporting implementation of policy and standards across the enterprise.

We Require
Three years of IT experience, of which two years include implementing and maintaining IT systems that support cybersecurity functions
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM-related field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Any one of the following: GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) Certification; Associate CISSP; CISSP; Security+; Certified Ethical Hacker (CHE)
Experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cyber Security Risk framework
Experience with tools and processes used in vulnerability management
Experience with compliance standards such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH), Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards
Job Contributions
Identifies, reports and manages vulnerabilities in County technology resources
Identifies and executes System Identification, Data Classification and Impact Analysis procedures for all Maricopa County Information Systems in alignment with standards such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-60 “Guide for Mapping Types of Information and Information Systems to Security Categories”
Supports Data Protection and Control Identification and Monitoring tools designed to support enterprise wide data loss prevention programs through the use of Data Loss Prevention tools and techniques
Supports business, operational and technical assessments of the County’s Enterprise Architecture and security posture with multiple security compliance standards, and maintains the security protections that are required as it relates to the County’s Information Security framework
Supports execution of the Maricopa County electronic discovery process which includes triaging all eDiscovery requests including litigation hold, preservation of evidence, and personnel investigation requests
Supports management and implementation and Maricopa County Enterprise Cyber Security Risk Management framework based on the NIST standards
Supports tracking and monitoring all information security risks to the enterprise network with inputs from various IT departments, security operations, and to security architecture
Supports development and delivery of County training programs for Information Security awareness, policies, standards, and guidelines
Working Conditions
Work is primarily teleworking or in a general office environment and may require driving to various work locations in the metropolitan Phoenix area, subject to County policies regarding the use of a County or private vehicles used on County business
Some work is performed after regular business hours on weekends and holidays and may be on-call as needed
Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time
