Associate Compliance Specialist


 

The IT Associate Compliance Specialist assists Senior & Compliance Specialists and/or IT Leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs including but not limited to PCI, Data Loss Prevention and Information Protection. They also assist in internal and external compliance audits and remediation as well as perform various tasks to maintain compliant activities.


 

Provide Expertise

Maintain knowledge on compliance and regulatory standards. Assist others with compliance-related questions. Stay updated on compliance and regulatory requirement changes, news, and trends.

Develop Compliance Programs

Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and security awareness training. Provide support for records management, eDiscovery, data loss prevention, investigations and information protection in Azure and Office 365.Assist in the coordination of compliance requirements with IT best practices and ministry standards.

Assess Compliance and Plan Remediation

Assist in assessments of departments, procedures, and policies against compliance standards. Prepare and analyze compliance data for external audits. Assist in assessments on the impact of periodic requirement revisions and advise remediation. Assist in reporting on compliance statuses to stakeholders. Assist in preparing compliance and regulatory documents.

Support Compliance Activities

Assist in performing recurring tasks, such as tracking digital assets, inventory, and other sensitive data and equipment. Assist in the monitoring of department workflows, vendors' qualifications, agreements, and certifications, as required for compliance.

Education

Required Education:

College Degree Preferred Education: College Degree - Computer Science, College Degree - Office Administration, College Degree - Pre-Law


 

Work Experience

Required Experience:

Preferred Experience: 1+ years in a legal or medical office, 1+ years in information technology, 1+ years in project coordination, 1+ years in regulatory compliance


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

Communication, Flexible to work where needed, Interpersonal Relationships, IT Concepts, Microsoft Applications, Operate standard office equipment, Sitting for long periods of time
