Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Technical Product Manager- Legal to shape, deliver, and support the Legal portfolio of product experiences in the areas of Spend and Matter Management (SMM). As a Technical Product Manager, you will be accountable for shaping product demand and lead global squads, applying deep technical foresight, leadership, and collaboration skills to influence a broad range of teams to bring the product strategy and roadmap to life.

This key role will set and maintain clear operational vision for the assigned portfolio of global products, platforms, and capabilities for J&J's Global Legal Organization. The role requires close collaboration with key business and IT partners across the JNJ enterprise to ensure successful planning, implementation, deployment of strategic global Legal programs. This position also establishes and maintains external relationships with key IT vendors to align vendor roadmaps to J&J's product roadmaps and priorities to ensure that J&J's product experience and capabilities are continuously improving and that vendors and partners are consistently delivering with operational excellence.

This job demands a career of deep technical expertise, so you can engage with our development squads and drive prioritization discussions to effectively weigh tradeoffs between business impact vs technical feasibility of delivery. Main responsibility will be to support and enable the technology agile delivery teams. You should have good technical skills and leadership experience, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Responsible for SMM portfolio of products and facilitating solution design, day to day portfolio and product management, set and support product squad priorities, and maintain product finances and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Connect and align technical strategies, roadmaps and delivery plans for SMM products and integrations to goals and objectives by collaborating with Global & Regional Business Product Owners and Process owners.
  • Drives standardization and consistency of platform & solutions deployed globally that can meet business goals and service levels.
  • Identifies and drives repeatability of solution for platforms working with Product Architects, Enterprise Architects and Expert Services.
  • Maintains and drives platform solution lifecycle (from design, test, release & ongoing support).
  • Lead end-to-end management of product squads (agile capacity and ad-hoc teams) and other IT support groups (PMO, TS, etc.).
  • Support and Lead Technology RFPs and RFIs in partnership with Procurement, Architecture and supporting teams to effectively assess potential solutions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum BA/BS degree required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • At least 8-10 years leading technically complex global, enterprise programs and teams.
  • At least 5 years of Salesforce platform experience while driving multi-year program roadmaps, Certifications in Salesforce are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience with strong people development, mentorship of team members.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.

  • We require a strong proponent of change, primarily by championing change within and across organizational boundaries as well as processes and standards.
  • We are looking for experience leading and delivering technology Lifecycle Management / Technology Transformation programs.
  • We need a confident communicator within the technical and business environments with ability to interpret, develop and present information to multiple audiences.
  • Understand Product and Portfolio Finances including budget management and resource planning.
  • Shape solutions in response to customer demands to drive company goals & objectives.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Legal (Litigation, Matter and Spend management, global eBilling practices, eDiscovery) and reporting and Data & Analytics solutions in a regulatory landscape.
  • Track record of leading highly integrated landscape of SaaS and custom-developed solutions.
  • Strong experience in compliance, SoX controls, security - supporting complex business processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Lead large, moderate to sophisticated projects, programs or initiatives across product groups or enterprise.
  • Ability to cultivate an environment where leadership, creativity, accountability, and talent development in a culturally diverse environment is a key priority.
