The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000 - 190,000 plus annual incentive bonus and potential LTI. Actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced In-House Employment & Litigation Attorney to support the company’s employment law needs while also managing general litigation matters, immigration-related issues, and litigation hold procedures. This role will serve as a key legal advisor to Human Resources, leadership, and business teams, balancing strategic counsel with hands-on execution in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Law & Counseling

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on employment-related matters, including hiring, discipline, termination, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, accommodations, and workplace investigations
  • Draft, review, and update employment-related policies, handbooks, offer letters, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants
  • Support HR in employee relations issues and internal investigations
  • Monitor and advise on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Litigation & Dispute Management

  • Manage and oversee employment and general commercial litigation, including working with outside counsel
  • Develop litigation strategy, evaluate risk, and manage budgets and timelines
  • Assist with pre-litigation disputes, demand letters, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries
  • Support discovery efforts, including document collection, review, and production

Litigation Hold & Records Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage litigation hold procedures
  • Issue and track litigation hold notices and ensure compliance across the organization
  • Coordinate with IT, HR, and business units to preserve relevant documents and electronically stored information (ESI)
  • Assist in maintaining and improving records retention policies

Immigration

  • Provide legal oversight for employment-based immigration matters (e.g., H-1B and employment authorization issues), primarily through coordination with outside immigration counsel
  • Advise HR and management on immigration compliance, work authorization, and related employment issues
  • Support policy development related to global mobility and immigration compliance

General Corporate Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Commercial, Finance, Compliance, and Operations
  • Assist with legal research and special projects as needed
  • Contribute to process improvements and scalable legal solutions

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school
  • Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 12+ years of experience in employment law, litigation, or a combination of law firm and in-house experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience managing litigation and working with outside counsel
  • Familiarity with litigation holds, e-discovery, and records management practices
  • Exposure to employment-based immigration matters preferred
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and organizational skills
