UnitedLex is seeking an AI & Analytics Consultant to support its growing Analytics and AI group. The Analytics Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality support during the full life cycle of a matter, focusing on the use of advanced analytics to cull data and prioritize data sets, Early Case Assessment analysis and consulting, search term testing and refinement, and deploying Technology Assisted Review (‘TAR’), Continuous Active Learning (‘CAL’), Machine Learning (‘ML’) and Artificial Intelligence (‘AI’) workflows. This is a full-time position and the role involves consulting on multiple projects of varying complexity and scope.

 

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Project Management Team and Client Stakeholders on project objectives, timelines, and status updates.
  • Recommend and implement workflows utilizing analytics for outside counsel and corporate clients, including TAR/CAL/AI Models, email threading, near deduplication, concept searching, clustering, and other analytic tools and methods.
  • Consult clients and review teams on use of Technology Assisted Review, Continuous Active Learning, Continuous Multimodal Learning and COSMIC Machine Learning.
  • Perform ECA analysis and consulting in proprietary UnitedLex ECA platform (‘Questio’) and other hosted environments, including, but not limited to, Relativity, Reveal, Brainspace and NexLP.
  • Review, test, and refine complex search term requests, with an important focus on correct syntax and identification of poorly performing terms that drive false positive hit counts.
  • Based on the finding of ECA analysis and search term testing, the Analytics Consultant will assist and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to leverage results and implement defensible data reduction, cost effective review strategies, and to facilitate the rapid identification of key communications (‘Hot Docs’) which are crucial to matter understanding and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Consultants on Best Practices and Process Improvement.
  • Foster and Promote Technology Improvements to increase efficiencies and client satisfaction.

 

Qualifications 

  • Tech-savvy, with strong knowledge of relevant industry platforms and tools. 
  • Possesses superior communication, decision-making, analytical skills and critical thinking skills to solve problems and proactively communicate potentials roadblocks to project success with all levels of internal and external organization. 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously. 
  • Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally. 
  • Ideal candidate has 5+ years of ediscovery/litigation support experience. 
  • Project management experience preferred. 
  • Relativity experience preferred. 
  • Reveal, Brainspace and NexLP experience preferred. 
  • Analytics and TAR/CAL experience advantageous. 
  • Relativity Certified Administrator, or ability to earn RCA within 1 year. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under high pressure and to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Strong experience utilizing MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience using Text Editors (UltraEdit) is preferred. 
  • Basic understanding of DTSearch, Elastic or other search engines. 
  • Prior experience providing analytics, ECA or TAR consulting is preferred, but not required.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current annualized compensation range for this role is $110,000-$140,000/year. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program.
