We are looking for a Senior People Partner to serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to our Go-To-Market teams (including Sales, Customer Success and Support). As a Senior People Partner, you’ll set your own bar to help align business objectives with people strategies, including developing leaders and teams, driving performance, engagement and effectiveness, and fostering an inclusive culture. This is a full-time, exempt position based in either Oakland, CA office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home on Tu/Fr.

In your role, you'll...
- Develop and execute department-level people strategy: Work closely with client groups to craft a human capital strategy and roadmap, including organizational design and succession planning, that drives high performance and helps reach business goals. This requires deeply understanding the business context, priorities, and strategies of Everlaw and your client groups.
- Maximize the potential of your leaders: Proactively coach and develop your client group leaders and team members to drive high performance, effectively unblock management challenges, drive career development and retention, and be models of culture and company values.
- Masterfully support employee relations and HR policies: Effectively guide and counsel client groups on employee relations (e.g., accommodations, investigations, performance management, etc.) in adherence to HR policies and regulations.
- Champion and grow an inclusive culture: Model and lead client groups in best practices that drive employee engagement and inclusion and belonging.
- Drive effective cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on all aspects of people strategy and change management for your client group, from strategy design to implementation and communications. This includes Legal, HR Ops, L&D, and Talent Acquisition.
- Use data to drive decisions: Review and analyze business and people metrics to identify trends and proactively recommend high impact solutions to improve performance, engagement, retention and the employee experience within your client groups and across the organization.
- Bring together company & department people strategy: Ensure company-wide people initiatives (e.g., annual reviews, performance management, HR policies, etc.) are implemented within client groups effectively and equitably and translate departmental learnings across the organization.
About you
- You have at least 6 years of HR Business Partner (HRBP) experience, preferably in a high growth setting, in which you provided people strategy counsel to client groups.
- You are a mission-driven individual that is aligned to Everlaw’s values.
- You understand how to connect business priorities and organizational goals to departmental people strategies.
- You have demonstrated knowledge of key HR functions, including organizational design, performance management, manager enablement, employee reactions, HR policies, change management, and coaching and development.
- You are an effective advisor who has excellent communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- You have collaborated closely with other parts of the People Team (Talent Acquisition, HR Ops, etc) and internal legal departments/outside counsel.
- You have the ability to think critically and analyze people metrics to drive solutions and progress in alignment to business and people objectives.
- You are comfortable creating pragmatic solutions within ambiguity, such as creating standardized practices/playbooks to support broader people strategy improvements.
- Preferable, but not required: You have functional experience and proven success working with Go-To-Market teams (Sales and Customer Success/Support).

- The expected salary range for this role is between $180,000 and $215,000. The final offered salary will be dependent upon many factors including the candidate’s experience and skills. The base pay range is subject to change in the future.
