About this role
Part of our national Financial Advisory practice, the newly established Grant Thornton Australia Digital Forensics team offers clients a holistic service including forensic investigations, forensic technology, and forensic transaction support.
As one of the pioneers of this brand-new team, the Senior Associate will review information from clients and other sources relevant to investigations and commercial disputes, prepare various types of documentation, and use technology to provide analysis of evidentiary materials.
Key responsibilities
Forensic collection, processing, analysis, and review of large volumes of client data and evidence using eDiscovery and forensic software
Assist with planning and scoping projects, including preparation of accurate time and cost estimates
Preparation of structured document bundles / packs for review and further analysis by the wider team
Ensure effective data tracking, quality assurance, and project documentation throughout the case lifecycle
Contribute to continuous improvement activities, knowledge-sharing, and training and mentoring opportunities for less experienced team members and other internal stakeholders
Please note that some interstate travel to other GT offices or client locations may be required.
Skills and experience
Required
Significant experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role, ideally in a consulting, professional services, or legal environment
Working knowledge of commercial litigation and forensic investigations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with emotional maturity and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Adaptable, flexible approach to working, with the ability to manage changing priorities and competing deadlines
Experience in the use of Exterro Forensic Toolkit (FTK), Cellebrite, Nuix, and / or similar forensic investigation software
Experience with Relativity, NuixDiscover, and / or other eDiscovery software
Desirable
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent / higher qualification(s) in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Information Technology, or Law
