Job Description
OBJECTIVES:
- Execute daily casework duties and deliverables of eDiscovery and litigation-related activities to the Takeda’s Legal Litigation Support Department
- Liaise with Legal Business Partners, Outside Counsel, IT Stakeholders and Peers, or Processing Vendors
- This will include non-custodial data from various Takeda applications across the estate or gathering data already ingesting into the RIM Archives by liaising with the Records and Information Management Department.
- Support and maintain the eDiscovery applications and tools provided to support above objectives including the coordination of Server patching and installing future application releases, patches, and bug fixes.
- Develops new ways of automation to replace labour intensive manual processes through requirements gathering from projects and pilots, tests and implements these features specifically or broadly, as each situation dictates
- Keep abreast of technology trends in the market and evaluate for potential value to Takeda Legal
- Maintain and update collection documentation & processes
- Identify problems and propose solutions, escalate when required.
- Communicate decisions, priorities, and status in a timely manner.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Determine and execute requirements for the collection, processing, transferring, loading and production of electronic stored information as tasked by Legal
- Ensure data subject to Legal Hold is preserved.
- Coordinate with Legal when a Legal Hold is released to ensure data not subject to any other holds is dispositioned
- Broad understanding of Legal Operations and develop business acumen of a large-scale pharmaceutical company
- Utilize and continue to develop analytic skills to identify solutions to problems and trend and identify opportunities.
- Develop relationships with other key Finance, Information Security & Risk, & Corporate functions peers. Continue to develop business or functional knowledge by responding to and resolving user questions, proposed solutions and define requirements.
- This individual will provide software training and assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and peer eDiscovery Analysts as needed.
- Candidate may be asked to provide functional/technical ad-hoc support (both standard and non-standard requests) to internal and external partners

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
- 8-12 years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including eDiscovery, Digital forensics, End User Desktop & Application Support, Active Directory & Trusted Domains, AWS Cloud Computing
- Ability to write and speak in the English language
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment
- Projects a high level of credibility and professionalism.
- Must be a solid team player, able to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities and requirements.
- Knowledge of IT Separation of Duties in a 1000 person IT organization supporting a 50,000+ user base.
- Understands team dynamics and strives to improve team effectiveness
Preferred:
- Strong familiarity with Legal eDiscovery processes and IT procedures in the biopharmaceuticals industry
