The Manager, Legal Operations, Technology and Knowledge Management role is responsible to manage and bring technology solutions and platforms to Corporate and Legal Affairs “LCS” to increase operational excellence both internally and externally to implement industry standards from a technology and innovation perspective. You will collaborate with other key stakeholders in facilitating the needs of the LCS. In this position, you will report to the Sr. Director, Global LCS Operations and Technology, and you will be responsible for evaluating current systems, onboarding new systems, and educating others within the department on the tools and programs. You will derive insights from, and drive best practices in CLM, Document Management, Knowledge Management, Workflows, Dashboards and AI tools, and knowledge sharing among members of the department and their business partners.

Responsibilities:
Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and workflows and developing optimization strategies that can be utilized globally. This includes global review of existing and new technologies for expansion or implementation. Identify best practices by staying up to date on the latest process and technical advancements to automate and modernize workflow and business processes to enable LCS to execute departmental strategy.
Monitor efficient/effective use of technology, including identifying and evaluating emerging technology and make recommendations regarding tools and technology, including AI and data analytics, reflecting best practices/latest standards.
Manage the Knowledge Management and Document Management solutions to develop and manage challenges related to technical, operational and change management.
Assist with AI strategies to optimize legal operations, enhance legal compliance, and drive innovation.
Develop frameworks for integrating AI solutions across the global function to achieve strategic business objectives.
Implement dashboards to translate complex legal data into actionable insights using tools like Excel, and Power BI.
Manage the CLM implementation across LCS globally and stay abreast of the latest developments in CLM and related technologies, continuously enhancing solution offerings; identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to optimize the CLM lifecycle.
Maintain expert knowledge of emerging technological solutions, trends, and developments; make recommendations and establish business cases concerning adoption of new technologies and streamlining business processes; and manage implementation and go-forward support of solutions to ensure operational excellence.
Develop / maintain industry relationships and actively participate in relevant industry groups to facilitate benchmarking and ensure expert subject matter knowledge base.
Deliver a best-in-class Technology Plan/Roadmap for LCS to achieve operational excellence and provide the most efficient and effective services and overall client satisfaction. Create, manage, and measure strategy related metrics to drive initiatives and deliver reports/metrics from applications, including customized reports based on needs of the LCS.
Periodically analyze knowledge base usage and search patterns; apply results of analysis to improve quality of content, effective search, and user experience.
Coordinate cross-functional implementation teams, including IT.
Build processes to review historical data to identify where better content management could improve service delivery by department to its business partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information architecture, knowledge management, library sciences, business administration or comparable discipline
Expert knowledge in document management, knowledge management, IP asset management, CLM, eDiscovery, information governance, information technology, and electronic information management principles, solutions, and best practices required.
Experience leading large, strategic global initiatives with significant influence globally.
Strong negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written). Ability to communicate issues in a clear and understandable manner.
Experience in knowledge management and/or legal information management or a related field
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining knowledge management technologies and practices in a law firm or in-house law department in a large corporate environment.
High level analytical skills, ability to effectively articulate and present findings in a meaningful manner
Ability to inspire and motivate others, demonstrated ability to gain consensus and collaboration across a range of functions and locations.
Ability to both collaborate with colleagues, interface with executive management and drive execution with consultants and vendors.
Demonstrated expertise in a variety of content management concepts, practices, and procedures.
Proven track record managing complex projects with many moving parts.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to aggressively drive project milestones to successful completion and ability to manage large workload, multi-task, and focus on critical priorities and ability to produce high quality work under deadline pressures.
Strong experience in technology change management, project management, business process management and system implementation
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships internally as well as externally. Results oriented team player and able to work in a highly collaborative business environment.
The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $161,425; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
