Position Summary
The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in Arch Insurance Group, Inc.’s Corporate Litigation group, which is responsible for corporate, extracontractual and other complex litigation.   The candidate should have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and balance a variety of tasks.  
 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•    Receipt and routing of time-sensitive service of process, including service relating to bankruptcy matters, on the Company;
•    Assist with case management, including tracking matters on an online litigation tracking system;
•    Assist attorneys with discovery, including issuance of legal holds and eDiscovery obligations
•    Assisting with routine litigation matters; including drafting correspondence, settlement agreements  and other litigation papers.
•    Production of legal and budgeting reports;
•    Reviewing and communicating with outside counsel about billing and invoices 
•    Assists with other projects as needed.
 

Required Skills and Abilities
•    Highly detailed and organized, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and consistently delivering good results; excellent deadline management.
•    Ability to work independently, but one whom thrives on a team, exhibiting team enthusiasm and earning trust and credibility.
•    Internally and externally customer focused.
•    Proactive and creative thinker.
•    Experience with Microsoft® products, including advanced knowledge of Excel, and Powerpoint
•    Strong analytical and research skills, including knowledge and experience using tools such as WestlawTM ll and Pacer.
•    Strong written and communication skills, along with professional email etiquette

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$73,000 - $95,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
