Become our new Lead Digital Investigations at ING’s Corporate Special Investigations (CSI)!
Our CSI team, the internal investigation department of ING, is seeking a dedicated Lead Digital Investigations (DI) to join our team.
As the Lead Digital Investigations, you will play a crucial role within one of the key workstreams of CSI. You will provide support in eDiscovery, digital forensics, and data analytics for internal and external investigations, legal cases, and disclosures to authorities for all ING entities.
The team
CSI consists of experienced (digital) investigators and is based in Amsterdam. The team delivers Special Investigations (fact finding reports), Digital Investigations (eDiscovery, Digital Forensics & data analytics services) and Enhanced Reliability Screenings. Most of the work is performed in the Netherlands or remote. Everything we do enables ING to manage its integrity risk to keep ING safe and secure. The lead DI reports to the Head of CSI who reports to the General Manager of Corporate Audit Services.
Roles and responsibilities
You have day-to-day responsibility in steering the operational activities of Digital Investigations ensuring that we are up to date with the latest developments in eDiscovery, Digital Forensics and Data Analytics in terms of hardware, software and methodologies.
You oversee and steer the work of 3 (forensic / IT) investigators. Depending on workload and during high impact investigations the number of investigators can increase.
You facilitate and stimulate that the digital investigators can do ‘their thing’ including creating role clarity and developing talent. You support in expanding knowledge and getting access to relevant data sources. You can prioritise and organize.
You manage senior stakeholders (e.g. discuss sensitive topics, manage expectations in a flexible way, sharp on the facts & soft on the relation). You build and maintain your internal and external network carefully;
In highly sensitive cases (insider projects) the lead is the SPOC for relevant stakeholders, including senior management for all (high impact) digital investigations.
The Lead DI is a member of the CSI management team and delegate of behalf of CSI in the Resolution committee and other MT committee roles in case the Lead Special Investigations and Head of CSI are not available.
You provide approvals on digital investigations requests based on the relevant procedures and are responsible for quality assurance for all DI products.
You provide relevant input to the head of CSI on the output of Digital Investigations (reporting) and during performance management cycles on the performance of digital investigators.
You stay up to date with relevant ING infrastructure developments, trends, data analyses solutions, internal fraud and other integrity MO's.

Experienced in managing professionals / SMEs.
Experience with eDiscovery, Digital Forensics and/or Data Analytics.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Able to work under pressure and tight timelines in a complex field of stakeholders.
You are a Team player with strong communication skills, empathy and an ability to build effective working relationships.
Master degree in relevant academic area (eg. Information Technology, Business Administration, (Criminal) Law, Accounting or Economic Crime).
You can demonstrate to be fluent in Dutch and English (writing and speaking).
You demonstrate integrity and high moral standards in everything you do.
An Enhanced Reliability Screening and positive clearance is required for appointment to this sensitive position. Also relevant Insider regulation will apply to you.
