The Lead, Digital Forensics and Incident Response provides forensics technical expertise and investigations support to EIP CyberSecurity defense stakeholders to assist with incident response, remediation, and root-cause identification. The Lead, Digital Forensics and Incident Response works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead, Digital Forensics and Incident Response (E-Discovery) is responsible for establishing, guiding, and maturing the organization’s E-Discovery function within Cyber Legal Operations. This role oversees the strategic direction, operational execution, and continuous improvement of electronic discovery processes to support legal, compliance, and investigative activities.

The Lead, Digital Forensics and Incident Response actively assesses and correlates incident data to enable vulnerability identification and provide forensics analysis recommendations for remediation activities. Manages a real-time forensic capability that collects, assesses, and analyzes data correlations and facilitates the creation of reports for EIP leadership consumption that provide in-depth investigative analysis into possible root causes of high-profile incidents within Humana infrastructures and assets. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the design and implementation of E-Discovery workflows, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

· Manage and mentor the E-Discovery team, fostering technical growth, operational excellence, and a culture of collaboration.

· Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Legal, Compliance, IT Security, and Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of E-Discovery capabilities.

· Develop and maintain documentation, playbooks, and training materials for E-Discovery processes and technologies.

· Oversee the selection, deployment, and optimization of tools for electronic data identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, and production.

· Monitor key performance metrics and report on E-Discovery activities to management and stakeholders.

· Ensure all E-Discovery operations comply with internal policies, legal standards, and data protection regulations.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

· Significant experience in digital forensics, incident response, and E-Discovery, including leadership or management responsibilities.

· Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to E-Discovery and data protection.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· eDiscovery certifications (Certified E-Discovery Specialist, etc.)

· Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, etc.)

· PowerShell and SQL experience

Remote/WAH requirements:

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$142,300 - $195,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
