Greenberg Traurig’s Chicago Labor & Employment Group is looking for a mid-level associate with 4+ years of experience with the following requisite experience:

Preferred candidates should have general labor and employment law and litigation experience and superior writing skills. In addition, candidates should possess a strong academic background, excellent communication capabilities, willingness to take on significant case and matter responsibilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to perform significant responsibilities in employment law litigation matters through summary judgment and trial, including conducting discovery (including e-discovery) efforts and handling routine motions in federal and state courts, as well as responding to administrative agency charges and investigations, with minimal supervision. Candidates should also have experience with wage and hour matters as well as restrictive covenant and trade secret matters. In addition, the successful candidate will have employment law counseling and some drafting experience advising clients including in-house counsel, human resources professionals and other company representatives on how best to address, resolve and document issues that typically arise in employment relationships, including facility with employment contracts. Toward that end, the successful candidate must be familiar with and be willing to stay abreast of employment statutes and regulations. Admission to the Illinois Bar is required. The position is expected to be full-time, with at least some days each week in the office.

The expected pay range for this position is:

$230,000- $340,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
