What You’ll Do
As an Internal Investigations Analyst, you’ll retrieve and analyze digital forensics information for internal investigations that pose a risk to the organization. You’ll help summarize and communicate findings and potential impacts to the appropriate parties while maintaining a chain of custody. In addition, you’ll:
Collect and analyze digital evidence from a variety of internal and external digital sources using forensically sound methods and identify its relevance to investigations as requested by the Investigative Services Manager or Investigators.
Employ scripting languages and data analysis software to scrutinize extensive logs and disorganized data, to analyze output from anti-fraud tools and system logs to identify potential fraud and/or misconduct following Investigative Services procedures and work with Investigative Services Investigators to remediate any outstanding issues.
Support Sentry’s eDiscovery process through the collection of digital evidence to Sentry’s eDiscovery system as directed by the Sentry Legal Department.
Collect and analyze evidence from external sources such as social media and public records to support the investigations of internal and external parties to ensure complete digital investigation to maintain associate safety as directed by the Investigative Services Manager or Investigators.
Additionally, you will:
Maintain current knowledge and awareness of electronic evidence collection, open-source intelligence techniques, and fraud schemes.
Update Investigative Services case management system to ensure relevant documentation for investigations is current. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.
What it Takes
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years of related work experience
Experience in information technology systems and processes, investigations or analytics Additional Qualifications
Experience leveraging Python, PowerShell, OSINT, and network security concepts in an investigative context
Professional designation, such as EnCE, CCE, CCFP, GCFA, GNFA, GCFE, CFCE, GCIH, GREM beneficial
