Grant Thornton is looking for a motivated graduate or early-career professional to join our expanding Forensic Technology team in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of Irelandβs leading digital forensics and eDiscovery teams, supporting high-profile and sensitive matters both locally and globally. Our team works closely with our forensic accounting colleagues to deliver multidisciplinary investigations and litigation support to top-tier clients across a wide range of industries.
You'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team environment, using industry-leading tools such as RelativityOne, Nuix, FTK, EnCase, and XRY. While our ISO27001-certified forensic lab is available for specialist work, much of our day-to-day involves working closely with colleagues across forensic accounting, restructuring, and other advisory teams on diverse and challenging matters.

Our Forensic Technology group helps clients respond to complex investigations, disputes, and regulatory challenges involving electronic evidence and digital risk. From large-scale eDiscovery and litigation matters to internal investigations and data analysis exercises, our work spans a broad range of digital challenges across sectors and jurisdictions - no two days are the same.
We regularly support matters involving:
- Commercial litigation and regulatory enforcement.
- Employee misconduct and whistleblower complaints.
- Data theft and fraud.
- Global data collections and cross-border eDiscovery.

Main Responsibilities
The work of a Forensic Technology Consultant is, by nature, variable. The following, however, are the main responsibilities which will be expected of the successful candidate:
- Assist in forensic acquisitions of laptops, mobile devices, servers, and cloud sources.
- Support the processing, searching, and filtering of electronic data.
- Help prepare data for review in RelativityOne, including technical QC and structured workflows
- Carry out forensic analysis using tools such as FTK and EnCase to support investigations.
- Maintain chain of custody documentation and contribute to expert reporting.
- Support the operation and upkeep of our forensic lab and related infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development of innovative workflows, AI and automation processes.
- Collaborate with senior team members across engagements and business development initiatives
Essential Criteria
Grant Thornton is interested in candidates who have:
- A strong academic record with preference in Digital Forensics, Accounting & Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Law or Management Information Systems.
- Industry knowledge of the forensic technology field, including detailed knowledge of software platforms, service providers and the challenges posed by imaging, processing, reviewing and new technologies.
- Diligence, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and tenacity.
Desirable Skills and Attributes
Candidates with the essential criteria will be considered, however, desirable candidates will include those who are able to demonstrate one or more of the following skills and attributes:
- Exposure to tools such as Nuix, Relativity, FTK, EnCase, Cellebrite, XRY.
- Knowledge of forensic or investigative methodologies.
- Experience with scripting or data manipulation (e.g. Python, PowerShell, SQL).
- Familiarity with eDiscovery workflows or chain of custody principles.
- An interest in pursuing industry certifications (e.g. CCE, CFCE, Relativity Certified, EnCe).
