Location: Beverly Hills, CA
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000, based on experience.

Our firm represents employees in meaningful cases against some of the largest companies in California and across the country. We are looking for an experienced Paralegal who can take ownership of litigation support, manage high-volume cases, and work closely with attorneys on complex employment matters.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow in plaintiff-side employment litigation and be directly involved in cases from filing through resolution.

Position Summary

The Employment & Class Action Paralegal will provide litigation support to attorneys handling individual employment cases, class actions, and PAGA matters.

The ideal candidate has strong California civil litigation experience, excellent legal writing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys throughout all phases of employment litigation

  • Draft, proofread, format, and revise pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents

  • Prepare civil cover sheets, summonses, proofs of service, filing documents, and case-related forms

  • File documents electronically in California state and federal courts

  • Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines, discovery deadlines, filing deadlines, and statutes of limitation

  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files

  • Draft and respond to written discovery, including form interrogatories, special interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission

  • Review and organize document productions

  • Prepare privilege logs, discovery indexes, document logs, and production summaries

  • Draft meet-and-confer correspondence

  • Coordinate depositions, court reporters, videographers, interpreters, and related vendors

  • Prepare deposition notices, exhibits, witness files, and deposition summaries

  • Assist with class action and PAGA matters, including class member information, employee data, payroll records, timekeeping records, personnel files, damages analysis, mediation preparation, and settlement support

  • Coordinate with class administrators, litigation support vendors, and opposing counsel

  • Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, witness lists, trial notebooks, and other trial materials

  • Communicate with clients to obtain records, collect documents, schedule meetings, and provide updates as directed by attorneys

  • Update case management software and help ensure compliance with court rules, firm procedures, and attorney deadlines

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of California employment litigation experience

  • 3+ years supporting employment class actions and/or PAGA litigation

  • Extensive knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and deadlines

  • Experience drafting discovery, pleadings, correspondence, and litigation documents

  • Proficiency with e-filing in California state and federal courts

  • Strong legal writing, proofreading, and document organization skills

  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Must satisfy California paralegal qualification requirements

Preferred

  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Trial preparation experience

  • Mediation preparation experience

  • Experience managing high-volume litigation caseloads

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
