Job Description: As a Data Protection Consultant, you will configure, implement, and support enterprise data protection solutions across Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk, eDiscovery/Records, and DSPM. You will apply deep expertise in Microsoft Purview (primary), Varonis, and Proofpoint to deliver secure and compliant environments that protect sensitive data.

 

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Implementation & Configuration: Configure Purview sensitivity labels, DLP policies, insider risk policies, and eDiscovery workflows. Deploy Varonis for unstructured data discovery, permissions intelligence, and remediation. Configure Proofpoint DLP and Insider Threat modules for email and endpoint coverage.
  • Operations & Troubleshooting: Provide day-to-day technical support; troubleshoot incidents and escalate where needed.
  • Client Enablement: Deliver training, demos, and technical workshops.
  • Documentation: Produce runbooks, test cases, and configuration documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Optimize DLP/IRM/eDiscovery policies and monitor data risks.

 

What You Bring:

  • Experience: 3–6+ years in cybersecurity/data protection roles, with 1–3+ hands-on with Purview, Varonis, or Proofpoint.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on implementation of Purview (DLP, Insider Risk, eDiscovery/Records). Familiarity with Varonis (permissions remediation) and Proofpoint (DLP/ITM).
  • Consulting Core & Delivery Excellence: Clear communication of technical details to clients; ability to document and present findings.
  • Certifications (preferred): Microsoft SC-400, SC-200; vendor certifications for Varonis and Proofpoint.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for periodic client travel and professional engagements.
  • Commitment to continuous education and staying current on data protection tools and threats.
