Your Next Challenge
Join our client’s team as a Data Governance Specialist and play a key role in shaping information governance and data protection strategies for Microsoft Copilot. You will ensure that data is properly classified, protected, and governed, enabling secure and compliant use of AI-driven capabilities across the organization.
What You’ll Work On
- Designing and maintaining information classification frameworks aligned with Copilot requirements.
- Implementing and managing classification taxonomies using Microsoft Purview.
- Configuring and optimizing Sensitivity Labels to control data access and Copilot usage.
- Developing and maintaining automated data classification and labeling policies.
- Defining and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to protect sensitive and regulated data.
- Monitoring governance controls and ensuring audit readiness through Purview Audit Logs and eDiscovery.
- Collaborating with IT Security, Compliance, Legal, and business stakeholders to align governance strategies.
- Supporting continuous improvement of data protection and information governance practices.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Data Governance or related fields.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview and Sensitivity Labels.
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
Bonus Points
- Master’s degree in Information Governance, Data Protection, or IT Security.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, or DLP.
- Experience working with AI governance or Copilot-related data controls.
