Under supervision of more senior counsel, and in collaboration with other department staff, assist with the day-to-day management and administration of the company’s litigation portfolio with a primary focus on early resolution of legal disputes. Responsibilities will be broad and experience level appropriate, touching on many facets of the settlement process, and entail supporting external

counsel in protecting the company through the settlement and litigation process.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Early Resolution of Legal Risk. Take active role in pre-lawsuit claims management process providing early resolution oversight in actively seeking settlement or other resolutions prior to full litigation. This will entail risk identification, case assessment, investigation, documentation, and reporting relative to pre-lawsuit disputes.
  • Assist in-house attorneys and outside counsel in the day-to-day management and administration of the company’s litigation portfolio, including litigation data tracking, evidence collection, e-discovery, discovery and subpoena responses, record keeping, and reporting. Settlement agreements
  • Legal project management. Working with more senior counsel, assist in the development or development and implementation of internal litigation systems and process improvements.
  • Provide legal support regarding compliance with company policies regarding consumer protection and risk management. Collaborate with internal departments to align business objections with risk mitigation efforts.
  • Review, approval, and processing of legal documents and pleadings. Create and maintain legal templates and forms related to litigation.


Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
  • Experience supporting large, multijurisdictional, complex cases a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills required, including Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with lending laws and regulations preferred but not required.
  • Prior document review or eDiscovery experience preferred but not required.
  • Prefer candidate with experience in solar, sustainable development and consumer finance matters.
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredit law school required
  • 6-8 years experience required

Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 / Annually
