McGuireWoods LLP has an opportunity for a Case Assistant to join our New York City team. The Case Assistant provides support to paralegals and attorneys in the securities and capital markets group. A strong candidate for this position is highly organized, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrates a high degree of discretion, and is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- File management including creating, organizing, and updating case files and databases.
- Organizes, labels and files case materials as directed.
- Deposition and trial preparation, including putting together materials to help the team prepare for litigation.
- Supporting paralegals and other staff on case-related tasks.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or some experience in a law firm is preferred
- Excellent technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and AI legal platforms.
- Familiarity with case management systems and/or E-Discovery platforms (CaseMap, FileSite, eRoom, Pacer, and Relativity) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate filing skills
- Self-starter and team player
