Our Global eDiscovery Services team provides advanced solutions and technology to dispute lawyers and clients. As leaders in centralized eDiscovery, we continually innovate to meet the evolving needs of our lawyers and clients.

Looking ahead to a transformative time in eDiscovery and AI, the firm is excited to establish a strategic leadership position within our eDiscovery organization. The candidate will manage the consulting team, work on complex matters, and provide expert advice with proficiency in industry leading eDiscovery technology platforms. This new operational role will collaborate to enhance our existing processes and reskill our team to address the evolving landscape of eDiscovery and AI. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Management and Oversight

  • Oversee managers and their teams within the eDiscovery consulting group, including disputes project managers, cyber project managers, collection analyst, and the eDiscovery services learning & development team.

eDiscovery Strategy, Advisory and Project Management

  • eDiscovery Solutions Advisor: Leverage Reveal, Axcelerate, Relativity, and Opus 2 to facilitate and advise on complex eDiscovery and cyber workflows, including data culling techniques, TAR and AI-driven methodologies, search term analysis, and privilege review strategies.
  • Lead eDiscovery Strategy: Provide strategic oversight and hands-on guidance throughout the entire eDiscovery lifecycle, guiding projects from data collection through production, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Technology Integration, Process Improvement and Development

  • Implement Advanced Technologies: Enhance eDiscovery workflows and operational efficiency by integrating cutting-edge technologies and repeatable processes.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Build upon and strengthen the existing culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Drive Technology Proficiency: Oversee the Learning & Development team to advance training programs and ensure proficiency in the firm’s eDiscovery tools.
  • Mentor and Develop: Mentor team members and maintain an environment of ongoing education, client service excellence, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate for Horizon Scanning: Work closely with department leadership and technology providers to evaluate, integrate, and optimize new tools and methodologies.

Key Performance Indicators for Success:

  • Process Improvement:  Identify and implement transformative process improvements that result in measurable enhancements in service delivery and data security.
  • Technology Adoption: Implement and integrate new eDiscovery technologies, achieving high adoption among team members and dispute lawyers.
  • Innovation: Collaborate with leadership team to advance eDiscovery practices by expanding the use of TAR, machine learning, and Generative AI workflows, while consistently staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Team Development: Cultivate a high-performing team through strong leadership, communication, and professional development initiatives.
  • Client Service: Maintain a high level of client service by delivering timely, accurate, and cost-effective solutions.

How You’ll Grow

  • Play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our eDiscovery practices and technology adoption while pursing your own professional development goals.
  • Learn from industry leaders and lawyers in the firm’s Information Governance, Cyber, and eDiscovery practices.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry experts, enhancing your professional network and influence.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree in Information Technology, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in eDiscovery and project management, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership role predominantly within a law firm.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in TAR, machine learning, and metrics capture is essential; experience with GenAI is a plus. Experience with Reveal Brainspace, Relativity and Opus 2 is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under rigorous deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding client service.

The role requires presence in the office from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy. Travel may be required.
