Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Execute eDiscovery requests, using a variety of technical tools.
  • Create, process, and prepare eDiscovery cases for review by legal, compliance, audit, Security, and other non-technical stakeholders.
  • Thoroughly document and maintain administrative logs related to investigation requests and case processing status.
  • Manage data associated with investigations, ensuring file permissions and user accounts are properly configured with the appropriate data integrity controls
  • Assist users with developing complex queries to analyze data for investigations
  • Provide training and technical support to analysts or end-users regarding eDiscovery requests
  • Build and maintain relationships with business partners at all levels in the firm, providing guidance to partners for how to approach and evaluate investigations
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices to incorporate into strategy for tools and technologies

 

Work Experience / Knowledge: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in performing eDiscovery and/or digital forensic related services
  • Skilled in the development of scripting in Python, Powershell, and/or Perl
  • Knowledge and technical proficiency with collection from source methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Teams and non-Microsoft email archiving applications

Formal Education / TRAINING: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field such as Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Digital Forensics 
  • Certification and training related to  is capture from source applications is highly desired
  • Certifications and training related to Microsoft Windows Server are preferred, but not required

 

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily business hours, but special projects may include evenings and/or weekends
  • Office working environment
  • Travel may be required for training and/or special projects

Charlottetown Salary Disclosure:

The base salary for this role in Charlottetown is up to $75,000.  The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, and experience. For locations outside of Charlottetown, the salary will be commensurate accordingly the local market and will vary based on skills and knowledge.
