Elevate is recruiting a Manager to join our Disputes & Investigations team. as a Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) in accordance with data protection regulations. Experience with working on the One Trust platform is a mandatory requirement. Our D&I team supports global law firm and in-house law department customers with DSARs, litigation document review, cyber incident response, and eDiscovery in ongoing complex litigations and data breaches.
Specifically, the Tech Lead will
- Lead and manage the DSAR team, ensuring efficient and timely responses to Data Subject Access Requests.
- Oversee the end-to-end DSAR process, from initial request intake to final response, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, and compliance, to gather necessary information for DSAR fulfillment.
- Stay updated on data protection regulations and ensure the DSAR process aligns with evolving legal requirements.
- Develop and implement standardized procedures for DSAR handling, ensuring consistency and accuracy in responses.
- Train and mentor team members on DSAR best practices, data privacy principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with the Data Protection Officer to address complex DSAR cases and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive records of DSAR requests, responses, and related communication for audit and compliance purposes.
- Analyze trends in DSAR requests to identify areas for process optimization and risk mitigation.
- 8+ years in Legal Industry with extensive experience in DSARs, document review and data breach.
- Proven experience managing Data Subject Access Requests in a corporate or law firm setting.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection laws, particularly GDPR and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications.
- Experience and expertise in using OneTrust and Discovery database platforms tools like Relativity, Brainspace, Everlaw, Nuix, Canopy etc.

- Familiarity with data privacy technologies and tools to streamline DSAR processes.
- Legal background or certification in data protection and privacy is a plus. Must be able to work with remote teams.
- LLB Graduate and LLM (would be an added advantage).
- Any other certifications/qualifications which help suit the role
