  • Target-state design and standards: Define and maintain the M365 target architecture, roadmap, reference architectures, reusable design patterns, technology standards, implementation guardrails and architecture decision records for collaboration, productivity, automation, knowledge management and AI-assisted work.
  • Assessment and recommendation: Lead architecture assessment of current and target states, identify capability gaps, evaluate solution options and provide pragmatic recommendations aligned to enterprise architecture principles, technology risk requirements, business priorities and regulatory expectations.
  • Copilot and agent solution architecture: Architect Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio agent solutions, including declarative versus custom-engine approaches, orchestration, knowledge-source design, Microsoft Graph grounding, SharePoint and Dataverse knowledge sources, Work IQ/Microsoft IQ alignment, connectors, actions, tools, MCP/API integration, prompt and instruction design, access control, observability, evaluation and lifecycle management.
  • Agentic AI adoption patterns: Establish enterprise patterns for agentic AI adoption, including autonomous and semi-autonomous workflows, human-in-the-loop approvals, tool/action permissions, fallback handling, auditability, exception handling, risk classification and production support models.
  • Service Owner enablement: Partner with business units, Service Owners and delivery teams to shape use cases, translate business outcomes into technical requirements, assess feasibility and guide implementation teams from ideation and pilot through controlled production rollout and measurable adoption.
  • Production readiness and control assurance: Provide architecture oversight for AI-enabled M365 solutions to ensure security, privacy, regulatory, cross-border data, data residency, identity, entitlement, retention, audit, eDiscovery and operational resilience considerations are addressed before production use.
  • Responsible AI and Copilot governance: Define and operationalize responsible AI and Copilot governance standards using Microsoft Copilot Control System concepts, including security and governance, management controls, measurement and reporting, readiness, adoption, productivity impact and business-value tracking.
  • Agent lifecycle governance: Govern the end-to-end agent lifecycle: intake, ownership, risk tiering, knowledge-source approval, connector approval, prompt/instruction change control, testing, release management, monitoring, periodic recertification, retirement and exception management.
  • Security and information protection design: Design and review security controls for Copilot, agents and Power Platform solutions, including least privilege, conditional access, privileged access management, sensitivity labels, DLP, connector policies, SharePoint oversharing remediation, restricted access/content discovery, threat protection and audit logging.
  • AI testing and evaluation: Define practical evaluation approaches for Copilot and agent solutions, including test question sets, expected-answer validation, groundedness checks, access-control testing, regression testing, prompt-injection testing, consistency checks, citation-quality review, hallucination management and ongoing production monitoring.
  • Reusable assets and guidance: Create solution blueprints, control checklists, design review packs, executive recommendations, adoption playbooks and engineering guidance for M365, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 agent governance, knowledge management and productivity transformation initiatives.
  • Architecture governance forums: Manage and contribute to architecture governance forums by preparing review materials, documenting decisions, tracking risks/actions and guiding projects through EA review, security review, risk acceptance and approval processes.
  • Technology roadmap vigilance: Evaluate Microsoft roadmap updates and official announcements covering Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 agents, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Purview, Defender, Power Platform, Teams and agent ecosystem capabilities; translate relevant changes into enterprise adoption recommendations.
  • Capability uplift: Drive capability uplift through architecture clinics, knowledge-sharing sessions, reusable templates, practical training, coaching of platform/application teams and guidance for business users, Service Owners and citizen developers.
  • Vendor and product evaluation: Support vendor and product evaluations related to M365, Copilot Studio, AI agents, automation, content management, semantic/knowledge layers, connectors, security, monitoring, evaluation, governance tooling and managed services.
  • Trusted advisory: Be a trusted adviser to senior management and stakeholders by communicating complex technical, governance and AI risk topics clearly, concisely and in a business-outcome-oriented manner.
