What You’ll Do and Who You Are
As a TM Quality Assurance Specialist, you will support core compliance operations, execute policy initiatives, and perform detailed conflict-checking workflows that protect the firm from risk. You’ll organize and process Conflicts inbox requests, conduct research on parties and corporate relationships, analyze conflict results, update SOPs, manage trackers, and assist attorneys with conflict resolution efforts.
You will thrive in this role if you are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing time-sensitive tasks with accuracy and professionalism. You should have strong civil litigation experience, an understanding of conflict-checking processes, and the ability to analyze complex information. Clear communication, sound judgment, and confidentiality are essential.
Responsibilities
- Organize, categorize, and process incoming items in the Conflicts inbox
- Run conflicts checks for new files, additional conflict requests, questionnaires, CR requests, and ethical screens
- Analyze conflict reports, perform detailed research on parties and corporate affiliations
- Communicate with attorneys regarding conflicts, collect clarifications, and assist with resolutions
- Create and update Conflicts SOPs and process documentation
- Maintain and update the New Files Tracker and other conflicts-related logs
- Assist with ethical screens and related compliance procedures
- Download, review, and save incoming documents; ensure timely distribution to responsible attorneys and support staff.
- Submit receipts in accordance with company expense reporting requirements.
- Support additional conflicts-related projects as needed to advance departmental goals and initiatives.
- Support TMQ with monthly, quarterly, annual compliance and policy KPIs
- Assist in developing and maintaining TMQ Knowledge Center resources
- Submit receipts and record billable time at applicable Legal Ops rate
- Support additional compliance, policy, and conflicts projects as needed
Requirements
- Mid-Level to Senior Paralegal experience preferred (3+ years in civil litigation)
- E-discovery experience highly preferred
- Paralegal certification strongly encouraged
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in litigation support, compliance, conflicts, or legal operations
- Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal deadlines and rules)
- High proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Articulate, organized, and able to communicate clearly with all levels of the firm
- Demonstrates confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment
