About Mimecast
Mimecast is a global cybersecurity company, founded in 2003 and headquartered in London, that helps organisations defend against email- and collaboration-based cyberattacks. Mimecast’s platform has expanded well beyond its original email security roots to cover advanced email and threat protection, email continuity, secure messaging, cloud archiving and eDiscovery, data security and insider risk management (including its Incydr technology), human risk management and security awareness training, brand protection, and emerging AI governance capabilities. This breadth has grown through a series of acquisitions, including Code42, Elevate Security and Aware.
Mimecast was previously listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market (ticker: MIME) but is now privately owned by Permira, a global private equity firm, following its 2022 take-private transaction.
