The Sr. Manager for the ILG-Village Records Program is a full time (Remote or based in Denver, CO) and is an instrumental teammate reporting to the Director of ILG in the legal department.  The role will be responsible for the day-to-day records management and information governance related operations.  Such responsibilities will include: ownership of the global retention schedule and policy, ownership and overseeing of enterprise education and training, provide guidance to company on records retention requirements, overseeing offsite paper records storage / retention / remediation efforts, and assisting with enterprise retention and remediation projects related to unstructured data and structured system data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.

  • SME for records management and information governance advice, with clear and practical direction, to teammates throughout DaVita;

2.

  • Oversee the management of physical records, assist with the creation and management of processes related to physical record storage, and assist with contract services and off-site records management systems;

3.

  • Assist with enterprise content management, both in structured and unstructured electronic systems; including guidance to IT on new and expiring company systems and processes.

4.

  • Maintain and update policies and procedures related to information governance and records management;

5.

  • Maintain and keep updated the records retention schedule, based on changes in legal requirements;

6.

  • Develop, maintain, and update records management related training and education for DaVita;

7.

  • Advise legal, IT, and business teammates on records management and information governance best practice and legal updates, as necessary;

8.

  • Communicate expectations for scope and deadlines to internal and external stakeholders;

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree- Required

Minimum 10 (10) years experience in Information Governance & Records Management, preferably in a corporate environment- Required

Healthcare/Life Sciences business experience preferred- Preferred

International record management experience preferred- Preferred

Previous employee/team management experience preferred- Preferred

Professional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience resolving challenging records management issues and proven ability to deliver sound, clear, practical advice in a corporate business setting;
  • Outstanding ability to organize, prioritize, and execute projects and programs;
  • Understanding of regulatory, legal, privacy, security, technology, and market trends that impact records management and information governance;
  • Thorough knowledge of records management and information governance related rules, regulations, and best practices;
  • Basic understanding of eDiscovery is preferred;
  • Broad understanding of ranges of IT, including IT terminology, IT processes, commonly used IT systems and applications;
  • Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and complex problem solving;
  • Demonstrated strengths in communication skills both verbal and written: ability to communicate to varying levels from leadership to field teams;
  • Demonstrated strengths in project management, action oriented, able to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines, and process focused;
  • Demonstrated strengths in analytical problem solving: analyze complex tasks, develop options, thorough and thought out plans inclusive of alternatives;
  • High degree of independent judgment, sound character, and willingness to support teammates to maximize their talents and skills;
  • Able to function in a team environment, being flexible and responsive to changing priorities, and having an appropriate sense of urgency in completing tasks and projects;
  • Ability to plan, schedule and monitor work, within set targets;
  • Proven experience in managing multiple requests for support while insuring stakeholders are satisfied with completeness, accuracy, and timeliness;
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time;

TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS

Travel: Limited travel for department meetings, onsite team meetings, or meetings required for the general job duties described here in, totaling approximately 5% of the time.

Nights/Weekends: as needed, however not likely

The Salary Range for the role is $100,000.00 - $147,000.00 per year.

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour, Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour

Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $17.66/hour, Burien: $21.16/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour, Renton: $20.90/hour, Seattle: $20.76/hour, Tukwila: $21.10/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
