THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE
The Senior Litigation Paralegal, Employment plays a key role in the in-house legal department, supporting complex single-plaintiff and class/collective action employment litigation matters, as well as a wide range of agency and administrative claims and attorney demand letters. This position is critical to mitigating the company’s legal risks and ensuring employment litigation and claims are efficiently managed from start to finish. The role will work closely with in-house counsel, external law firms, and business units to provide effective litigation support, oversee large volumes of discovery, respond to subpoenas and personnel document requests, administer legal holds, and manage wage claims and agency proceedings. The Senior Litigation Paralegal will also enhance the overall effectiveness of the legal team by providing high-level support and contributing to streamlined legal processes.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Support in-house counsel in managing and coordinating the full lifecycle of single-plaintiff and class/collective action litigation, including case intake, document collection, file organization, and preparing case summaries.
- Partner closely with internal business functions and external counsel to gather information, resolve issues, and support litigation strategy, while ensuring timely communication of case updates to key stakeholders.
- Lead the discovery process, including collecting, reviewing, managing, and producing large volumes of documents, and consulting with outside counsel. Coordinate with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., HR, IT, Compliance, Operations) to schedule witness interviews, obtain necessary materials, and ensure compliance with discovery requirements.
- Draft, edit, and prepare a wide range of legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, deadlines, and company standards.
- Respond to subpoenas and requests for personnel and employment records, including coordinating with HR and other stakeholders and culling and compiling responsive data and documents from various HR systems to ensure accurate and timely production.
- Handle wage claims, agency charges, and other administrative proceedings by gathering documents, preparing draft responses, and attending telephonic hearings.
- Prepare, deploy, and release legal hold notifications; identify and coordinate with custodians to ensure compliance with preservation obligations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support compliance audits, internal investigations, and administrative inquiries, including coordinating document collection and preparing responsive materials.
- Assist with litigation and claims reporting, metrics, and cost tracking to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintain internal litigation playbooks, templates, and process documentation to drive consistency and efficiency across matters.
- Conduct research, analyze and summarize applicable laws as needed.
- Provide paralegal support on special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and other legal matters outside of employment litigation as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current on evolving litigation practices, discovery tools, and employment law developments.
- Regularly contribute to team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and process improvement projects.
- Assist with organizational and administrative tasks to support overall department operations.
- Collaborate with outside counsel on billing, budget monitoring, and invoice review to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
- 10+ years of paralegal experience with a focus on employment litigation (single-plaintiff and class/collective actions).
- Experience handling subpoenas, agency charges (EEOC, DOL, state agencies), and wage claims.
- Thrives in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Able to balance multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and delegate to available resources.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Collaborates effectively within a team.
- Process oriented and ability to create and/or recommend standard operating procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with e-discovery tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism.
- Preferred: Prior law firm and in-house experience, retail or multi-state employer background, and class action litigation management.

The pay range for this position is $77,600.00 - $102,700.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Companyβs bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
