Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Trademark Paralegal who will apply expertise in litigation and portfolio management to support attorneys through complex filings, deadline tracking, correspondence, and invoicing. This position ensures accurate docketing and timely execution across all trademark-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor domestic and international trademark portfolios, including docketing deadlines and status updates.
- Coordinate with international counsel to file and prosecute international trademark applications.
- Oversee renewals, declarations of use, oppositions, cancellations, and other post-registration actions.
- Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, and other USPTO filings.
- Draft and file applications and manage international filings through WIPO.
- Review and organize trademark specimens, evidence of use, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches and analyze results for potential conflicts.
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal memoranda, client reports, and enforcement strategies.
- Monitor third-party trademark filings and potential infringements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding trademark matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop filing strategies and manage client expectations.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide updates on trademark status and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records in trademark docketing systems (e.g., CPI, Foundation IP, Anaqua).
- Ensure timely updates and reminders for critical deadlines and filings.
- Generate reports for attorneys and clients as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in trademark and copyright matters; litigation and TTAB experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated trial experience and familiarity with the litigation process and e-discovery protocols
- In-depth knowledge of USPTO, TTAB, and international trademark procedures
- Strong understanding of court procedures, methods, and practices related to trademark litigation
- Demonstrated knowledge of e-discovery concepts, including litigation holds, data preservation, and chain of custody
- Experience managing trademark enforcement actions, oppositions, and cancellations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Experience with document management systems and database programs (e.g., Foundation IP, CPI, Anaqua)
- Skilled in using docketing software to manage extensive trademark portfolios
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to maintain an extensive docket, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing competing priorities

The base annual pay range for this role is between $110,000 - $125,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
