The Senior Manager, Software Engineering is a hands-on technical leader responsible for leading one or teams of full stack software developers in building public and internal facing software solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and software development, combined with the ability to motivate teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The Senior Manager will work closely with leadership, product managers and stakeholders to align development with business needs, interact with external vendors, and ensure best practices in software engineering and architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage one or more full-stack software development team(s) located (remote, on-shore, near-shore, and offshore)
· Serve as a technical expert to influence and deliver high quality, highly scalable and performant software applications using modern technologies.
· Modernize legacy applications to align with current technology standards and business needs.
· Collaborate closely with team members, product management, and stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities and delivery on our commitments.
· Actively participate in hiring, onboarding and performance management of staff to foster a high-performance engineering team.
· Actively participate in software development, contributing high-quality code and architecture in C#, Angular, and Python.
· Drive system integration and release efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between various applications and services with no downtime.
· Define and enforce software development best practices, code reviews, and scalable technical design.
· Lead Agile ceremonies and processes as needed, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to deliver high quality software iteratively and collaboratively.
· Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously identify opportunities for innovation and improvements.
Required Experience:
· Minimum 5 years software engineering leadership experience, managing directly or indirectly 10+ people.
· Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly product management, to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
· Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in Agile/Scrum practices.
· Experience with vendor management, including oversight of external developers and documentation providers.
· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, VMs (particularly windows), and release and test automation.
Preferred Experience:
· Experience working in eDiscovery.
· Proficiency with Relativity or RelOne platforms.
· Expertise in using Nuix or comparable metadata extraction tools.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $170,000 to $180,000 per year. Select roles are additionally eligible for Incentive Compensation in the form of our Annual Performance Bonus Program.
