About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join BDO’s Management Consulting practice, supporting clients on projects that strengthen trust in their data, information and emerging technologies such as Generative AI.

This is a hands‑on consulting role, suited to an experienced Consultant or Senior Consultant who enjoys delivery, problem‑solving and working closely with clients to embed practical, value‑led outcomes. You’ll contribute across the full project lifecycle while continuing to grow your advisory capability within a collaborative team environment.

About the team

We deliver end‑to‑end capability across data strategy, data trust, data engineering, analytics, AI and visualisation, with a strong focus on turning data into practical business value. Our work spans a wide range of industries and regularly supports senior leadership on high‑impact programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the design and delivery of data governance and information management frameworks
  • Contribute to enterprise content, records and information management initiatives
  • Assist with data management programs including data quality, metadata, cataloguing and migration activities
  • Support the establishment and uplift of data governance practices, including data ownership models
  • Assist with privacy, compliance and regulatory assessments and uplift programs
  • Develop and document policies, procedures and supporting tools
  • Design practical workflows for the secure handling of information and sensitive data
  • Participate in client workshops and stakeholder working sessions
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver high‑quality consulting outcomes

About you

  • Experience in data, information management or governance roles, ideally within a consulting or advisory environment
  • Practical exposure to implementing data or information management frameworks, policies or programs
  • Experience or interest in areas such as data governance, information protection, privacy, records management or AI governance
  • Familiarity with Australian privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g. Australian Privacy Act; GDPR exposure beneficial)
  • Experience with enterprise content or information management platforms; Microsoft SharePoint is highly regarded
  • Exposure to information protection or eDiscovery tooling (e.g. Microsoft Purview) is an advantage
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent practical experience
