Your day as a Senior Advisor
The Senior Advisor provides expert advice and practical support on Transparency and Integrity matters across government. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role contributes to managing information access, regulatory engagement, and legal issues. Success relies on strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills. The Senior Advisor collaborates closely with Treasury teams, NSW agencies, and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include managing document production requests under Standing Order 52, deciding GIPA Act applications, and supporting strategic legal projects. The role also involves investigating privacy complaints, advising on professional standards and information requests, and helping develop internal knowledge resources. The Senior Advisor supports senior leaders with briefs and reports for governance matters, complaints, and oversight bodies like ICAC and the Ombudsman.
