Join our Office of Firm Counsel Department as a Records Reviewer located in our Washington D.C. office.

This role will be based in our Washington D.C. office, on an in-office basis. This position requires the ability to work full-time, 40 hours a week, with flexibility to work overtime and off hours as necessary. This position reports to the Manager of E-Discovery.

 
Position Summary

The Records Reviewer is responsible for the review, processing and transfer of client records paper and electronic files coming into or being transferred from the firm.  He or she must have the ability to work in an organized, efficient manner and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews electronic and paper files pursuant to client transfer protocols.

  • Prepares electronic and paper files for transfer out of the firm per client direction.

  • Coordinates pickups and deliveries with offsite storage vendor.

  • Assists with incoming and outgoing file transfers including review, organization and index of the files.  

  • Prepares file transfer correspondence and disengagement letters.

  • Tracks all processes and procedures.

  • Performs general administrative duties such as, but not limited to, typing, copying, and sorting mail.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills.

  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

Education & Prior Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 0-2 years’ experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or other comparable position consisting of researching in a legal environment preferred, or business experience in an analytical role.

  • Law firm experience a plus. 

Technology

  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

The expected pay range for this position is:

$23.08 to $27.69 per hour
