Role Overview :
As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality of our software products through comprehensive manual testing and debugging. You will work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to create and execute rigorous test plans and identify any issues before the product is released. Your focus will be to ensure that products are stable, functional, and meet the required specifications through humancentric validation and exploratory testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement detailed test plans and manual test cases to ensure compliance with system specifications.
- Execute manual testing, including functional, integration, regression, scale, and performance testing.
- Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman to validate backend services.
- Design and execute test cases to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency within the data warehouse.
- Verify data flows accurately between source systems and the data warehouse through manual SQL validation.
- Identify, document, and report defects using bug-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) with clear reproduction steps.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate those into specific testing scenarios.
- Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system behavior under stress. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with developers to ensure that new system products and product enhancements meet business requirements.
- Participate in peer reviews of test cases to improve coverage and clarity. Additional Responsibilities/Details
- Track and report test results, including manual test case execution and defect status. Assist in preparing and validating test environments, datasets, and configurations needed for manual testing.
- Continuously improve manual test frameworks and increase test coverage through exploratory and boundary testing.
- Provide input on product design improvements from a QA perspective.
- Document test outcomes and contribute to refining QA processes and best practices.
- Stay updated on new testing methodologies, trends, and manual testing best practices to enhance the QA process.
- Prepare project-related documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in software testing and data quality. • Strong proficiency in SQL for database validation and backend testing. • Experience in testing Enterprise applications, Integration, and Data warehouses. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. • Experience with bug-tracking systems like Jira, Bugzilla, or others. • Flexible, with a positive attitude and a passion for knowledge. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle inconsistencies and edge-case issues. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with crossfunctional teams. Other Qualifications (Nice to Have): • eDiscovery industry experience • Proficiency with Relativity, Nuix, or other eDiscovery platforms • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC processes • Experience with Git, Jira, MSSQL • Knowledge of relational databases • C# development/test writing a plus • Automated test experience a plus (i.e., Selenium, Playwright)
