Our Information Governance- eDiscovery team is seeking a Project Manager eDiscovery to join our growing team in the Worcester, MA area on a hybrid work arrangement. This is a full time, exempt role.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The eDiscovery and Information Governance Project Manager will be a full-time employee qualified in Exterro (or previously qualified in a similar platform) and well versed in information governance, stationed in Worcester. This role will be to assist the eDiscovery and Information Governance teams of the Office of the General Counsel, and other legal personnel with the planning and execution of data preservation, collection, processing, and review of Hanover data in connection with eDiscovery and information governance matters.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Manage assigned eDiscovery matters from inception to production, coordinating process flow with both internal and external parties, as part of the Hanover eDiscovery Team
  • Perform data reduction and culling (by keyword, structured analytics, or both) on the data set and preparing it for review
  • Interact with internal and external constituents regarding eDiscovery case progress with outside counsel, external review companies and Hanover’s eDiscovery Team
  • Coordinate projects and processes with Director of eDiscovery, the eDiscovery Tech Lead and the Forensic Engineer
  • Develop and streamline existing processes to ensure they remain consistent with existing processes and align with industry best practice guidelines
  • Partner with Internal Audit and business units on data-related audits to put solutions in place that help the business to meet standard requirements going forward
  • Coordinate projects with Hanover Technology and the Information Lifecycle Governance Team to ensure information and process consistency and defensibility throughout the enterprise
  • Work with the Information Governance Team and business units to maintain the enterprise-wide application and data source map
  • Assist in reviewing, implementing, and assigning retention periods for applications and data sources company-wide
  • Assist in creating and implementation of training for information governance and defensible deletion compliance and other information governance initiatives
  • Provide support to employees with questions about records retention implementation and application, particularly during legal events
  • For purposes of protecting work product to the maximum extent, this person will be employed and controlled by OGC. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • Typically has 10+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Project Management certification or equivalent experience
  • Possesses and applies an extensive knowledge of eDiscovery data processes
  • Possesses and applies an extensive knowledge of information governance practices 
  • Experience using Active Directory, Azure and Varonis applications
  • Experience in supporting legal data functions preferred
  • Must be flexible with respect to work scheduling issues or changes that may arise unexpectedly due business needs or demands
  • Possesses strong customer service skills and behaviors
  • Makes decisions in an informed, confident and timely manner
  • Maintains constructive working relationships despite differing perspectives 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups. 
  • Demonstrates ability to win concessions without damaging relationships. 
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Promotes and facilitates free and open communication

  • Operates with latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. 
  • Computer experience (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • GCFA certification and familiarity in using an eDiscovery platform, such as Exterro Fusion, preferred.

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus (which could take the form of a general bonus, sales incentive, or short-term incentive), long-term incentive or spot recognition awards. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
