What’s unique about this role?

The Project Manager (“PM”) assists with the management of eDiscovery cases by driving work through various operational departments to meet project requests and requirements. This includes coordinating tasks associated with data intake, culling, processing, hosting, review management and production. This position works as a member of a project management “pod” to translate client requests into actionable instructions for internal operation teams, or to action themselves. They will monitor and track work progress to ensure requests are completed, providing updates on job status both internally and externally. The Project Manager is also responsible for conducting quality checks to confirm the accuracy and completeness of all work before it is delivered to clients. This role operates under the direction of Directors, Associate Directors, and Senior Project Managers to support and track matter progress. This role does not have any personnel management responsibility.

What will this person do?

  • Manage matters of various types (e.g. disputes, regulatory, employment), taking ownership from project kick-off through to completion. 
  • Coordinate and/or action tasks associated with data processing, review, and production.
  • Respond to client requests and provide consultation to clients to manage the scope, execution, and overall delivery of the matter.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Lighthouse workflows, critical paths needed to progress work through the system and tools used by Lighthouse to manage workflows.
  • Communicate expectations for scope and deadlines to internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform quality checks during the eDiscovery workflow stages, including post processing, review preparations, reporting and production deliverables. Carry out crosschecks compliant with client and/or Lighthouse specifications.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives as identified by pod leaders.
  • Flexibly contribute to other project roles as necessary.

 

Bring your passion and together we will shine.  It would also be great if you have the following:

  • Degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science or other eDiscovery-related discipline preferred, or commensurate experience in eDiscovery. 
  • Relativity experience is required.
  • Industry-specific or technology-related certifications preferred (e.g. RCA, Nuix Master, ACEDS)
  • 4+ years of work experience with at least two years of eDiscovery experience
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Prior eDiscovery skills needed to provide consultation and creation of client and project solutions that drive the use of technology and workflows that reduce overall client costs, improve speed, and/or deliver a higher quality product.
  • Project management skills to successfully manage client relationships and execute projects to completion in order to deepen Lighthouse relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey instructions, identify issues, propose solutions and manage conflicts between internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends)

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

 

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
