Job Description
Legal and Workforce Technology at ALSAC spans a broad, evolving portfolio of enterprise platforms and capabilities supporting Legal, Compliance, and Employee Experience functions. These capabilities include legal case and matter management, contract and document management, workflow automation, regulatory and compliance tracking, employee-facing platforms, and change enablement technologies.
This landscape encompasses significant functionality that requires deep expertise, strategic oversight, and disciplined execution to fully meet the organization's growing needs.
Position Summary
This role provides critical, expert-level leadership and guidance for all strategic enhancements across Legal and Workforce Technology. The Principal Advisor establishes direction on how to best leverage enterprise platforms and out-of-the-box capabilities to drive efficiency, scalability, compliance, and an enhanced user experience.
Serving as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT leadership, this role ensures that technology solutions are aligned with enterprise strategy and deliver measurable business value.
The primary focus of this role includes modernization efforts—such as workflow automation, document and contract management, regulatory processes, and compliance solutions—as well as Workforce and Employee Experience technologies. Success in this role requires driving adoption across people, processes, and organizational change.
Essential Job Functions
- Design, integrate, and manage complex hybrid technology ecosystems, extending SaaS solutions through configuration, integrations, and custom development.
- Evaluate and balance the use of out-of-the-box functionality versus custom solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Validate end-to-end transaction flows and business processes across Oracle and related platforms, ensuring seamless execution from initiation through completion.
- Ensure accurate data transformation, posting, reconciliation, and reporting across upstream systems, Oracle, and downstream platforms (e.g., BI tools), with a strong focus on operational readiness.
- Lead enterprise solution architecture and design efforts, integrating multiple systems and platforms across the organization.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization across both vendor-supported and internally developed applications.
- Assess and mitigate enterprise application risks, including security, compliance, scalability, and operational resilience.
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps that balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
- Deliver high-quality solutions across SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, CI/CD), partnering with business and technical stakeholders to manage complex dependencies.
- Provide expert-level leadership and guidance to Senior Technology Services Advisors, setting direction for strategic initiatives, operational execution, cross-team integration, and enterprise alignment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive IT experience leading, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale technology solutions, including both SaaS platforms and custom-built applications.
- Strong knowledge of Legal and Employee Experience processes.
Experience with Legal technology (e.g., CLM, matter management, eDiscovery) and Workforce/Employee Experience platforms (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday, ServiceNow HRSD), with a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory processes.
Deep experience designing and integrating SaaS solutions within complex ecosystems using APIs, middleware, and workflow/low-code platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Power Platform, MuleSoft, Boomi), balancing configuration and custom development.
Knowledge of data architecture, governance, and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), along with exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise security and risk management principles.
