Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Business Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial litigation matters and will play a critical role in case management, discovery, and trial preparation. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:


•    Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
•    Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
•    Manage case files and maintain organized electronic and physical records
•    Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery platforms and databases
•    Conduct factual and legal research under attorney supervision
•    Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and trial binders
•    File documents with state and federal courts, including e-filing
•    Track deadlines and manage litigation calendars
•    Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and effectively
•    Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
•    Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


•    A minimum of ten (10) years of paralegal experience in business litigation in a law firm environment
•    One of the following is strongly preferred: (1) Bachelor’s degree; (2) Paralegal certificate or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies; or (3) Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation
•    Experience with complex case management and high-volume document review, Intellectual Property Litigation is a bonus but not required
•    Familiarity with trial preparation and courtroom procedures
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software
•    Strong understanding of court rules and procedures (state and federal)
•    Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
•    Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•    Availability to work additional hours during time-sensitive phases of litigation
