Position Summary
OLG is seeking a versatile, detail-oriented paralegal to support attorneys across litigation and business transactions. This role requires strong document skills, reliable deadline management, and the ability to move between matters and priorities. The primary focus is substantive legal support under attorney supervision, with administrative and office management assistance as needed in a small-firm environment.

Litigation Support
- Assist attorneys with preparing, formatting, proofreading, and organizing pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate electronic filing, service, and document delivery; track court dates, filing deadlines, discovery obligations, and attorney follow-up.
- Collect, organize, and review documents at attorney direction; support document productions, privilege review workflows, exhibit preparation, and e-discovery using Everlaw or similar platforms.
- Prepare chronologies, factual summaries, document indexes, deposition materials, and hearing and trial binders.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics with clients, witnesses, court reporters, opposing counsel, and other service providers.
- Perform factual and legal research at attorney direction and maintain organized, current matter files.
- Manage case tracking systems to ensure that all deadlines are met and tasks are organized; communicating urgent due dates with the attorney assigned to the case.
Transactional Support
- Assist with drafting and revising contracts, entity documents, resolutions, certificates, and related materials using attorney instructions and approved forms.
- Organize due diligence materials, track outstanding documents, and maintain transaction checklists and closing calendars.
- Coordinate signature collection, execution, closing deliveries, and distribution of final documents; prepare closing binders.
- Assist with business entity formations, filings, corporate records, and ongoing record maintenance under attorney supervision.
- Maintain contract and matter records and track key dates, deliverables, and follow-up items.
Administrative & Office Support
- Provide scheduling, correspondence, document processing, scanning, file management, and client communication support as needed.
- Provide backup assistance with office supplies, vendor coordination, office logistics, and other administrative or office management needs.
- Scheduling meetings, depositions, and managing internal Outlook Calendars to ensure that every date is accounted for and tracked.
Qualifications
- Prior law firm paralegal experience, with the ability to support litigation and transactional matters; experience in both is preferred.
- Working knowledge of litigation procedures, electronic filing, document production, and business transaction documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PDF tools; experience with case management, e-discovery, and legal research platforms is preferred.
- Excellent organization, proofreading, written communication, and follow-through; ability to manage competing deadlines with appropriate supervision.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and careful handling of confidential client and firm information.
- Paralegal Certificate or Degree in paralegal studies is preferred; comparable relevant law office experience will be considered.
