The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for end-to-end SharePoint and OneDrive migrations
• Design and execute migration strategies ensuring minimal business disruption, proper metadata mapping, and secure content handling.
• Utilize industry-standard tools such as ShareGate, Quest, or SPMT (SharePoint Migration Tool) for structured and unstructured data migrations.
• Conduct pre-migration analysis, content inventory, and assessment to identify data quality, duplicates, and archival candidates.
• Migrate content, permissions, workflows, and customizations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive while preserving data integrity.
• Work closely with security, compliance, and collaboration teams to implement appropriate access control and DLP policies.
• Provide guidance on SharePoint site architecture (hub sites, communication sites, modern team sites) and OneDrive configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration issues, sync errors, and permission conflicts.
• Create documentation, runbooks, and post-migration support materials, including end-user training and FAQs.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019), SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
• Proven experience in planning and executing large-scale content migrations.
• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, modern site structures, permissions models, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
• Strong command of PowerShell for automating migration and reporting tasks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API, PnP PowerShell, and JSON configurations for advanced customization.
• Experience with identity and authentication (Azure AD), including user mapping and group synchronization.

Who You Are

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications such as MS-300, MS-700, or MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator).
• Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations
• Understanding of retention policies, records management, eDiscovery, and compliance features in Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to user adoption strategies, change management practices, and training delivery.
