The Role
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Microsoft Purview Developer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and implementing robust document and records management solutions using Microsoft Purview, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Copilot. Knowledge of third-party records management software is an asset.
As a Microsoft Purview Developer at Elantis, your projects will include:
- Purview Records Management: Implementing information lifecycle, archiving and records management best practices. Configuring and maintaining Microsoft Purview solutions, aligning with business requirements and best practices. This includes retention events, labels and policies, templates, licensing, user roles and eDiscovery.
- Security and Compliance: Configuring information protection like sensitivity labels, data loss prevention (DLP), and auditability, across the Microsoft platform.
- Microsoft 365 Governance: Designing and implementing governance frameworks aligned with client requirements, as well as provincial and federal security and compliance standards.
- SharePoint Development: Building information architecture aligned with clients' document and records management requirements, configuring document libraries, metadata, content types, and permissions.
- SharePoint Migrations: Performing migrations from legacy EDRMS solutions like SharePoint on premise, network drives, and non-Microsoft sources such as OpenText, Drupal, or M-files, using migration software and scripts.
- Integration: Integrating SharePoint and Purview with Power App, Power Automate, Power BI, Excel, Outlook, third-party apps, etc.
- Power Platform Development: Developing canvas apps, model-driven apps and cards; create tables, columns, views and triggers in Dataverse. Developing automated, instant, scheduled, UI and business process flows in Power Automate. Creating forms, charts and dashboards. Implementing role-based security.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years' experience developing solutions in the Microsoft 365 platform.
- 3-5 years' experience with Microsoft security and compliance tools like Purview, Defender, Sentinel, and Intune.
- 3-5 years' experience with SharePoint configuration, development and migrations.
- 1-3 years' experience with Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse.
- Experience with data migrations and integration scenarios.
- Scripting knowledge using PowerShell for automation and deployment tasks.
- Integration experience using REST APIs, Azure Logic Apps, or custom connectors.
- Coding skills in JavaScript, C#, HTML, CSS, etc.
- Solid understanding of business processes, solution architecture, and relational data modeling.
- Experience building end-to-end business solutions from design through deployment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

- SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate
- SC-400: Microsoft Security Operations Administrator Associate
- SC-900: Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals
