Fennemore is looking for a full-time Litigation & Practice Support Specialist to join our Oakland office and play an important role in supporting our litigation attorneys while working closely with our Practice Support team. This hybrid position is expected to be in-office at least two days per week, with a willingness to come onsite more often when needed for trial preparation, technology setup, or other hands-on support tasks.

At Fennemore, you'll be part of a collaborative legal team where your work truly matters. Reporting to the Litigation & Practice Support Manager, you will provide hands-on support in litigation technology, eDiscovery, and trial preparation that strengthens the work of our attorneys and paralegals. Your skills will help keep cases organized, teams connected, and clients confident that every detail is handled with care.

What You'll Do

As a Litigation & Practice Support Specialist, your responsibilities will be:

Case & Trial Management

  • Collect, organize, and maintain documents and physical evidence while preserving chain of custody.
  • Support filings and trial preparation tasks in coordination with paralegals and attorneys.
  • Assist in developing case timelines, chronologies, and witness materials.
  • Summarize legal documents to support attorney and paralegal case preparation.
  • Provide trial and deposition support, including audiovisual logistics and trial presentation preparation.

eDiscovery & Litigation Support

  • Manage multiple electronic discovery projects using Relativity and Everlaw, coordinating both in-house and with vendor partners.
  • Use tools such as TAR, ECA, analytics, and search filters to streamline document review.
  • Oversee document production, prepare privilege logs, and manage large document repositories.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local office litigation support needs.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner closely with attorneys, Practice Support, and vendor teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with paralegals to delegate and coordinate routine tasks, strengthening overall team capacity and ensuring trial readiness.
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and providing training on litigation support tools and best practices.
  • Contribute to firm and department projects as opportunities arise in support of the litigation team.
  • Other duties/special projects as assigned.

As part of our commitment to collaboration and excellence, this role requires flexibility in daily work schedules during periods of high workload, adhering to departmental and Firm goals and policies, and performing other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and organization.

You'll be successful in this role if:

  • You have a bachelor's degree (preferred), or you've gained equivalent experience through technical training or hands-on litigation support work.
