Litigation Paralegal
Hodgson Russ LLPJoin our litigation team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality legal support in a collaborative, fast‑paced litigation environment. Hodgson Russ LLP, a regional law firm with 230+ attorneys in 10 offices, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our busy Litigation team, in our Rochester office. In this role, you will support the firm’s litigation attorneys by managing complex cases from inception through trial. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Contributing to all phases of discovery, including paper and electronic discovery.
- Coordinating subpoenas and record requests.
- Preparing medical chronologies, treatment summaries, and damages-related documentation.
- Assisting with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
- Supporting attorneys during trial proceedings and other court-related matters.
This is a hands-on role suited for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the confidence to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent client service skills and communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and other external contacts. A Bachelor’s degree or certification in Paralegal Studies, with at least three to five years’ litigation experience preferred. Hands-on experience with at least one e-discovery/document review platform (e.g., Relativity, Summation, or Concordance) preferred.
Hodgson Russ offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401(k), Paid Time Off, pension plan, and more. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Rochester is $58,000 to $71,200. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
