We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Saint John office to provide legal support to lawyers in the Litigation practice group.


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, organize and analyze documents, draft summary reports, pleadings, motions, affidavit of documents and chronologies; 
  • Input and manage files electronically with the use of litigation support software and provide status updates;
  • Cross reference documents for discovery, e-discovery and/or trial exhibits;
  • Assist lawyers with trial preparation and attending court when necessary;
  • Record all billable and non-billable functions on a daily basis; and
  • Other related clerical duties as required.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Spoken and written proficiency in English is a must and bilingualism is considered an asset;
  • Successful completion of an accredited Paralegal Diploma Program or equivalent, combined with 1 - 2 years’ experience as a Litigation Paralegal;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced working environment;
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage and track multiple files at once;
  • Excellent proofreading, spelling and grammar skills, attention to detail is a must; and
  • Team focused, self-starter with the ability to work independently.
