We are seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal with 10+ years of progressive litigation and related support experience to join our legal team. This role is critical to the management and execution of the company's litigation-related operations, eDiscovery processes, and records management functions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in all phases of the litigation lifecycle, possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate legal environment.
This role requires working onsite in our Reston HQ on a regular basis with occasional remote work, 10%.
Primary Responsibilities
Subpoena and Third-Party Request Management: Manage responses to subpoenas and various requests and demands from government agencies, tribunals or other third parties, including but not limited to subpoenas, employment and business records requests, garnishments, liens, levies and other court or administrative orders.
Service of Process: Coordinate the tracking and handling of service of process (SOP) and other legal documents received by the Company, ensuring proper routing, documentation, managing and handling, and timely response.
Litigation and Case Management Support: Provide comprehensive litigation and case management support, including responding to discovery requests; issuing litigation holds and records preservation; custodian management and compliance; eDiscovery; and tracking departed custodian assets.
eDiscovery Process Management: Assist with the company's end-to-end eDiscovery process. Facilitate preservation, collection, analysis, production, and review of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in connection with litigation, regulatory matters, and internal investigations.
Case Management Repository: Assist with and update a centralized case management repository to ensure accurate tracking of all active and closed matters, key deadlines, and relevant case documentation.
Discovery Coordination: Work collaboratively with in-house and outside counsel and internal functional and line organization staff to respond to discovery requests and other information demands in a timely and accurate manner.
Legal Research. Conduct legal and other research as needed to support litigation strategy, discovery obligations, and compliance and other requirements of the Company.
Special Projects: Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned by Legal Department attorneys.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 10+ years of prior relevant litigation-oriented experience. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
