Legal Service Group (“LSG”) Litigation Paralegal
SUMMARY:
The Law Department is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our LSG team which provides support to the Labor & Employment and Global Commercial Litigation teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in litigation support, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve close collaboration with in-house counsel and external legal teams in all aspects of employment and commercial litigation and may provide other limited support to the functions of these teams.
Primary responsibilities include:
Commercial and Employment Litigation
· Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal.
· Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
· Organize and maintain case files.
· Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery.
· Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, and other trial materials.
· Assist with deposition preparation, including summarizing transcripts and organizing preparation materials.
· Liaise with business partners, external counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
Additional Support of Labor & Employment and Commercial and other Law Team Functions
· Participate in pool of LSG Team Members who share responsibility of responding to third-party employment subpoenas and record requests.
· Participate in pool of LSG Team Members who share responsibility of managing UCC liens.
· Provide support to attorneys on certain commercial subpoenas and provide support as needed for government agency subpoenas.
· Coordinate with LSG Support Specialist and Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to the litigation teams as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a corporate or large law firm setting.
· Strong understanding of legal terminology and litigation processes.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Deep experience with e-discovery.
· Experience supporting complex litigation, including commercial and employment class actions.
· Paralegal certification.
· Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
