The Opportunity

Superhuman team members in this role must be based in San Francisco Bay Area, and they must be able to collaborate in person 2 days a week.

As a Litigation & Employment Paralegal, you will support Superhuman’s legal team in managing litigation, pre-litigation, and employment matters, ensuring cases run smoothly and efficiently from an operational standpoint. You will play a key role in organizing, coordinating, and executing on high-priority legal work, enabling attorneys to focus on strategy and decision-making.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and organize litigation files, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and other case-related documents.

  • Track and manage case deadlines, court dates, and key milestones, ensuring timely reminders and follow-ups.

  • Support litigation hold administration, including issuance, tracking, and documentation of hold notices.

  • Assist with responses to subpoenas and law enforcement requests, including intake, logging, and coordination.

  • Coordinate with outside counsel on discovery, filings, and case logistics, primarily for U.S. matters, with additional support across Canada and Europe.

  • Support internal investigations, including document review and fact gathering.

  • Assist with DocuSign workflows and process management related to employee separations and terminations.

  • Help build and improve legal workflows and systems to increase team efficiency.

  • Partner closely with Legal, People, and other teams to support employment-related processes and documentation across regions.

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of discretion and judgment.

Qualifications

  • Has at least 3 years of experience as a paralegal supporting litigation matters (ideally including extensive discovery management experience).

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification preferred.

  • Strong experience with document management, discovery processes, and case coordination.

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working with legal tools and systems (e.g., document management systems, eDiscovery tools, matter tracking).

  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters appropriately.

  • Process-oriented with a track record of improving workflows and driving operational efficiency.

  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

  • Embodies Superhuman’s values—high ownership, attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to excellence.

  • German language skills are a plus (not required).

Superhuman takes a market-based approach to compensation, so base pay may vary by location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

United States:

Zone 1: $118,000 - $163,000 (USD)
