We are a culture that obsesses over impact, challenges, and drives what’s next to power infinite possibilities for our customers, colleagues and society at large.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of litigation and pre-litigation matters. Subject matter of disputes ranges from commercial breach of contract, intellectual property, First Amendment, privacy, and antitrust.  This is a relatively unique in-house litigation role, insofar as the successful candidate will be more "hands-on" in pre-litigation disputes and certain litigations, including drafting filings, court appearances, and dispute resolution.  The successful candidate will also be expected to manage and oversee outside counsel engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice and counsel on dispute resolution and litigation strategy.
  • Handle case management tasks, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions of disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation efforts and to counsel clients on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of e-discovery, including data collection, review, and production.
  • Represent the company in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in New Jersey, or otherwise eligible for a New Jersey In-House license.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of e-discovery processes and tools.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the publishing industry.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property, privacy, and First Amendment law.
