Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Columbus office is seeking an Associate to support our growing Ohio litigation practice. This position is ideal for candidates with at least a year of litigation experience who are eager to develop their skills and play an integral role in a collaborative legal team.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with all phases of litigation, including motion drafting, discovery (including eDiscovery), depositions, pretrial hearings, and trial or trial preparation.

· Conduct thorough legal research, prepare memoranda, and analyze substantive legal issues.

· Collaborate with attorneys and clients on active litigation matters.

· Take initiative and assume responsibility for assigned client matters.

· Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Qualifications:

· 1-2 years of litigation experience, including hands-on involvement with motions, discovery, depositions, and hearings.

· Strong academic credentials and excellent writing, research, and analytical abilities.

· Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to thrive in a team setting.

· Admission to the Ohio Bar, or eligibility to waive in, and good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted.
